There is an alarming rise in people coming down with some form of allergies. Symptoms range from mild irritation to life threatening attacks. These symptoms can be something as common as dust, dust mites or nuts. One third of the population has one form or another of allergy. |
| . |
Children are the most common sufferers and the most vulnerable. It is expected that half the population will be allergic to something if current trends continue. According to WHO statistics, up to 50% of the world’s teenagers were already suffering from airway allergies like allergic rhinitis and asthma.. |
| . |
Even though asthma is one of the most common causes of death in childhood, the warning sirens seem to be silent. And even though all signs point to a potential health catastrophe, very little is being done by health organizations worldwide to highlight the problem. |

Allergy is still not accorded the attention and priority that it needs and because allergy seldom kills or maims, it does affect a patient’s quality of life. With allergic diseases becoming a global epidemic, to assimilate rapid advances in this field has become imperative. .. |

Efforts must be made to increase the awareness of the threat allergy poses. Having proper indoor air quality maintained at all times either at home or at the work place is one of the first steps to be taken. This indoor pollution is responsible for triggering allergies, asthmatic and even sinus reactions. Adults who consider themselves healthy are susceptible to contract airborne diseases and viruses anytime anywhere when they are in common areas with others who without their knowledge may be carriers of some sort of virus........ |
| .. |
Another to consider is having the right air purification equipment or lamps to help purify and eradicate these airborne diseases. With joint efforts it will translate into action resulting in increasing awareness towards the prevention of allergy..... |
